With a career spanning nearly 20 years in the film industry, Alexandrine Torres de Figueiredo has made a significant impact by collaborating on numerous award-winning documentary, television, and interactive projects that have left a lasting impression. Since moving to Canada, she has been a passionate advocate for the francophone community and actively promotes diversity and inclusion.
Throughout her career, she has demonstrated her passion and expertise in production management and business affairs as a studio administrator and Line producer. Among her notable achievements is her work on the documentary “Sur la corde raide/High Wire,” which won the award for Best Documentary Program or Series: Political History at the Gémeaux in 2020. Other highlights include “Sans maman/Unmothered,” which received the Vague Award for Best Documentary at FICFA 2018, and the interactive project “Merci de jouer/Thank You for Playing,” which was nominated for Numix and Gémeaux awards in 2018. The recent nomination of the interactive project “Vimy Mémorial Vivant / Vimy Living Memorial” for the 2023 Numix award showcases her continued dedication to delivering exceptional content. She is also the executive producer of “1001 Couronnes sur ma tête,” a Koromousso Media production set to air on TFO in the spring of 2025.
Through her company, Esquilo Medias, Alexandrine offers her expertise as a business affairs consultant to independent producers in both French and English. She has also recently expanded her activities into production, maintaining a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion.
